I'm currently using a cable for my internet because my router's down. Now the internet works fine, but it seems whenever I try to stream something (youtube, magavideo, etc), it will disconnect after a few minutes. This ALWAYS happens. If I don't try streaming the internet will stay connected with zero issues.

Any help is welcome and appreciated.

Are you wired directly into the modem supplied by your ISP, or are you just wired into the back of your router? Also, have you checked your event logs on your computer to see if anything got logged there - it's possible that it's a problem with your system.
