I don't know what the stock card is, as it only says "stock wireless card" no specifics. I plan to do mostly gaming on this laptop, will the stock wireless card be enough for online gaming? I don't want to experience lag. I have Comcast cable Internet, but I don't know what speed, but don't most stock wireless cards support up to 150mbps? I hear that most cable Internet is only like 5mbps? If that's not true, how much Mbps will I need to avoid lag assuming 150 is below normal

but how about for range comparison between stock and intel 6300?

If I just have a normal crap router will it make a difference? Is the range significantly better if at all?

If the range of your router is the limiting factor there will be no difference.
It's the weakest link type of thing- all parts of your setup have to be good for you to be able to notice any difference.
