Not sure what I am doing wrong...

I have my Onkyo TX NR818 hooked up wireless to my home wireless router. On my PC I can see it under the Network tab and it shows as a media device and has an IP address.

Should I not be able to control or somehow sent content to the Onkyo with this wifi connection?

I can't seem to figure it out and many places say I need to buy additional hardware....which makes no sense....

You wisdom is appreciated in advance.

Either, the device will be registered as a sound output device in Windows (you may need to install a driver), you need to isntall some kind of control software on your computer or you need to select the content to play on the device itself rather than the computer.
