    Hello everybody

    I have a sony VGN-NR220E

What's happening is that the WIFI light suddenly turns off and the WIFI doesnt work anymore.

What would solve this problem temporarily is restoring the system 1 day back or more.

Any suggestions? I think it is a software problem since the WIFI is working with the restore. Is it the automatic update thing?

    What to do?

    and Thank you

well, you don't tell us what os, what update you installed recently etc.

but since it worked after you used system restore, that's probably what it was-- an updated driver, or to your os, etc.

Assuming you're running in _Windows, there should be a log-file kept of the updates that have been done; I don't know, but I don't believe that doing a restore would change the contents of that log-file since it's just that, a log-file, not a configuration file (although an entry might be added to it to reflect the restore so that a reader can go back and use the log-file to figure out what updates are actually present given the restore). That log-file might be able to give you an indication if anything that would affect the wireless was updated.
