And now it says it cannot detect a compatible wireless adapter.
It was working fine before the upgrade and im sure I got the right, compatible version.
So now Windows is doing my Wifi but I prefer the Intel stuff.

Try reverting back to the intial drivers. If those ones worked for you I wouldn't try updating.

Use the system restore built in to XP to backup.

Apparently so, thats what im going to do.
Well I wanted the security fixes of the newer version.
