    Hi everyone,

I am looking for a wireless PC card for my IBM T42 as it does not have wireless; however the card must NOT stick outside the PCMCIA card bay. Since the laptop will serve as my mobile workstation, I would like a card that doesn't stick out; thats asking for trouble. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Will you connect it in a PCI express port?

No, PCMCIA slot. The T42 has two such slots on the front left side of the unit.

I see, the PCMCIA slot is close to 3.5" deep, so any card with that dimension should work. However most card I have seen have a small antenna and that will stick out.

Yeah, I'm looking for something that will stay completely inside the laptop. The cards I've seen either have an anntena as you say, or a plastic housing that sticks out an inch or so.

Yeah, that's the antenna, you can't get away with it, you must have either a whipping antenna or a flat antenna at the top of the card.
