A mirror extends across one of the exterior walls of my house (first floor). The router is wall mounted high on the wall in a second floor room. I can't get a signal outside the house. Is there anyway I can get the wifi through or around the mirror?

if the mirror is metallic finished, probably not.

for all of the people here who have wireless coverage problems and the low (low!) price of n routers, you'd think that more people would think to put a second AP in at home.

I have two APs at home, at opposite ends of the house. Works great.

Of course, my house is completely wired with cat6 so it's trivial to add more APs, but often it's the only reasonable way to get good coverage.
