    Hello I sure Hope someone out there can help me.... I just purchased a CF-74 with a wwan4g - Sierra wireless 5725 Verizon card. I am running windows 7 ultimate. I need help can someone tell me how to setup the GPS so i can use MS streets and Trips
    2nd I would like to use the cell card I also need help in how to activate the card so i can use it Verizon will not help me I called them... Can someone help me with this issue and thank you so much have a good day...

    The Sierra Wireless drivers should 'expose' a serial port. You merely direct Streets and Trips to use that serial port.

    In Windows 10, things work differently.

    As far as using the card, you will need an appropriate SIM, and the card will need to be unlocked and will need to support the bands you need.

    It appears to be very old. Not even sure it would support 4G. At this point you probably would want to upgrade to say, a MC7700, MC7355, MC7345 which are far more modern and support 4G HSPA, and 4G LTE.

    Thank you for your reply I have tried all Com Ports that the drivers installed here is what they are showing
    Sierra Wireless MC5725 CNS Port (Com8)
    Sierra Wireless MC 5725 DM Port (Com7)
    Sierra Wireless MC 5725 NMEA Port (Com5)

    MS Streets and Trips says no GPS found

    Which one of the cards above would you use for the Price and GPS availability . Once again thank you for your reply

    @rigtek927 it's definitely a 3G card, not 4G/LTE - and not best at that. These cards have ****ty drivers to say the least, I didn't even bother activating GPS on mine. Wish you best of luck.

    NMEA = GPS. So set your Streets and Trips to use Com5. It may or may not be turned on at the card level. If not, you'll have to get the AT command set reference (and agree to the NDA) from Sierra Wireless, and go at it.

    The MC7355 is the newest and has the best GPS/Glonass/etc. of the bunch, but is also the most expensive.
