Beware.... check what kind of wifi card you plan on getting for N first. INTEL4965AGN ONly gets 270Mbps in the 5ghz band. That means you need a dual band router.

But once again, when will you get 270Mbps in the ISP side? And how many people play games at home with other member of the family needing a high capacity in the home side?

I think is a waste of money to get a powerful router, although this one here is already N, which means it can bring your nic above 140Mbps.

I just bought it but with 3 antennas and I'm more then happy with it.

Super Easy Set up. Cool configurations...Works pretty damn far...Fast speeds..just as fast as directly connected...blah blah blah

    Wirelessman,

I am not suggesting that anyone will get 270Mbps from their ISP. I am merely pointing out the facts as they are.

I do not know what he plans to do with this equipment ultimately and neither do you. The decisions we make are only as good as the information we have. I wanted to make sure the variables were being considered.

I use my home network for more than surfing the web and/or playing a game. I need the ability to transfer large files at great speeds as well.

The router does play a role in you connection to your ISP as well. If it sucks and an underperformer your latency could increase as well as your ping too.

For the price you prob can't beat it, but... I was looking for a N router too and going by the reviews on Newegg and Amazon the Dlink 655 is supposed to be tops. Some reviews mentioned problems with D's cheaper N's. Just check the reviews first to make sure it's what u want. But, yes, that is an excellent price!

the dlink dir 625 is more . Like from there i could keep going higher. I think i should get the the 615 for now and when the prices for the N routers come down more invest in something better.

In canada i found this being the price

Use NCIX, First go to shopbot.ca then type the router you are looking for. Find lowest price and get NCIX to price match. You can pick up 4 locations in greater vancouver
