Hey guys, I know this is a long shot but maybe someone here has an idea:

I just got a new HP nc8430, and have been having problems getting it onto the network at my college. I took it to the ResNet people but they're having problems with it too. It seems my computer's having problems with the access software we use - when I connected through a port that doesn't require it (Clean Access Agent from Cisco), it got online just fine.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is there some software that HP includes (or doesn't include?) that could be causing problems?

    Thanks in advance!

You should ask this question on the HP board.

Yes I did - sorry about that - but I figured the two boards might have two different views sort of - HP board could help with any particular problems HP computers have with this, networking board could help me find out about general problems people have with network accessing and the like. But I apologize for that.
