    Hey guys,

Telus screwed us over and we dont get our ADSL Modem for another 2 weeks. However, I have a wireless connection available and what I would like to do is set up my laptop as an access point and plus my laptop into my router and share the internet with the wired desktop computers.

    is this possible?

Need to expaln what you are trying to do. Don't under stand.

You already have a router setup with your pc and laptop connected. Where is your service coming from? Or are you just needing to share files?

I am getting access from a public wireless router. My Desktop computers are connected to a home LAN which does NOT have internet into it yet. What I want to do is use my laptop to access the wireless internet and then send the data out into my router to distribute the internet connection to my desktop pc's.

Activate ICS on your laptop. Make the internet connction. Then share the connection on the wired port.

tried that. it wont let me enbale ICS because the wireless conenction is with a dlink router and it is using 192.168.0.1. Windows says that it needs this address to be free so they can enable ICS. Any way around this? I cannot get access to the router to change the default IP
