I got a BUFFALO WHR-G54S flashed with DD-WRT. Am using this router to connect 3-4 systems to the internet via a cable modem.

Now the problem i am facing is that even though the laptops can connect to the net i cant seem to ping or connect to the systems connected to the router. I have disabled firewall in all the systems so that isnt the problem here.

Please help me out here as i am a total noob in wireless connectivity! :(

    Thanks in advance.

So you can connect to the router and use internet with all computers but pinging with in your home network doesnt work and file or printer sharing doesnt work too?
Do you use DHCP? Do you use a windows 'workgroup' or do you just use ip addresses? I use DD-WRT and it only blocks pings coming in from the internet but traffic between then local network nods is not filtered or firewalled.

If your local fw are down, you have privacy on on the rr-wrt. Some routers have this feature some don't. It should be under your wireless or lan setup. May be under advanced settings.
