    Hi guys

I have an adhoc wireless network setup between my 2 laptops, I know this works as I'm getting a ping both ways and I can play Dawn of War LAN games over the adhoc network.

But I'm having a problem setting XP up on both machines so I can share the internet.

This is what I'm trying to achieve -

2 laptops, one with the internet connection, one sharing that connection through a wireless adhoc network.

I have a USB dongle modem (Vodafone UK) and I know the internet is working on the "host" laptop but the second laptop won't connect to the internet, just the wireless adhoc network.

Please could someone advise me on how to setup the connection sharing as I don't have a clue on how to do it. Please bear in mind I need idiot proof instructions as well.

Thanks in advance for any help on this. :)

Thanks jcovelli. I had already done that.

I think the problem was that I had the network "host" as the wrong computer, i.e. the one I wanted to share the internet rather than the one with the internet connection.

I just setup the network again with the laptop that has the modem on it as the one hosting the network, by creating the wireless network on that laptop and it works fine now.

Me typing this is proof. :D

Thanks for the advice though. :)
