I am thinking of buying the TRENDnet TEW-639GR wireless N router and I have a couple of questions:

    - If I just follow their installation wizard, which is quite simple (type http://192.168.10.1 in the Address bar and follow the instructions), will it install successfully?

    - Once installed will it work with any computer that has a wireless card (b, g or n)?

I have a trendnet TEW-633GR and I find it to be an amazing router. Use the web browser setup (IP address you posted versus CD install) and all will go well. As for what wireless connectivity you are giving the option of each b,g,n individually or mixed modes. Remember to setup security (WPA2 is the best method) and enjoy your router.

Thanks. The 639GR is supposed to be an improved version of the 633, so even better.

Apple is the only one I know that you must use a setup program. I always use the web setup. Some routers have a setup wizard in firmware, I don't use those either. Remember to use a unique SSID.

It should almost certainly install flawlessly. I've never installed via the wizards because (a) I'm lazy, (b) a tad paranoid, and (c) I usually have some quirk in my network that requires a little TLC.
