Anyone have experience with setting up DC++? I've tried setting it up using the guide provided on the website. Doesn't work. I think the problem is because I'm behind a router and that probably has some kind of firewall. Problem is, it's an old router my dorm gave me and there was no manual to go with it so I have no idea how to change the firewall settings. I've also tried copying the settings down from another friend who has a working DC++...tried it on her line (not behind a router) and it still doesn't work.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

If so, Just make sure you share at least 3gb of stuff.
You need to get the server name to connect to from someone first. then enter a name in brackets like this [insert college here]Steve. basically you need to have a certain amount shared and a valid college name to connect.

I go to the University of Washington - Seattle. About server name...that's not a hub? Do I like...enter [Washington or w/e school's server name is]Victor (I assume that's where my name goes) in the command line before connecting to a hub? And where do I go (on my friend's DC++) to find this server name out?

I actually didn't know any of this, so you're already helping a great bit dude, thanks. And thanks for the min sharing tip.
