Do I really need this setup CD to install it, or is it just some on screen tutorial? I'm sure I can just use the web interface to configure it right, like every other router ever?
I found "Cisco Connect Setup Software for PC" here, is it the same thing that's on the disc?

I would assume it's the same. The only time I've had to install something for a router was when I was, actually, I haven't ever installed anything for a router... Only a modem, and that was because of the USB. Reading a Cnet review, it seems it has a USB for NAS, so that would probably be why you need to install software.

Thanks, got it! Love this router so far. The Wireless N is actually faster than my wired LAN plugged directly into the modem.
Is it recommended to leave it in mixed mode, or should I set it to Wireless N only? I have some g and b devices, but I've heard connecting them to the same router, even on the 2.4ghz band, will cause every device to run at those speeds.
I haven't tinkered with the wireless settings yet apart from changing the security to WPA2 Personal. -
If your 802.11n devices run at 5GHz on one SSID and your 802.11g devices run at 2.4GHz on another SSID there's no slowdown.
If you run them both on the same band in mixed mode your 802.11n devices are going to be slower than they would be but still much faster than 802.11g devices. Compatibility mode will slow down 802.11n by some degree but not back to the 802.11g level.
