Hope someone can solve this mystery for me. Right now, my computer is connected to the Internet via wifi. It is definitely connected, says "Very good" signal with the wifi icon showing on in the system tray. I had several web pages open and working fine, but then, strangely, no page can be loaded, says "server not found", Problem loading... etc. But the Internet connection is still "Very good" and apparently connected. Also I made sure it's not "work offline". I didn't do anything to it. It's the same after I closed the Firefox and re-opened it. What's the problem?

Is this wifi connection yours or a public hotspot?

Sorry for being dumb, but I don't know what you mean by "cmd > ping www.google.com"

It's an open network I found, very close. As I said, it was working all the time (and every day) until then and I did nothing in between.

Maybe then owner secured their network. It's illegal to connect to someone AP/internet without permission.
