    What about satellite service, how good and how expensive is the service?

    Satellite service is really expensive, and not worth it.

    The problem with satellite internet is the delays between the satellite and your computer - really high latencies. Not good for online gaming at all.

    Also, the download and upload speeds are terrible. I wouldn't recommend it.

    You would be better off getting a wireless PCI Card from Verizon or something and you pay a certian amount a month. It basically work were cell phones work. Just my suggestion.

    Well, if you are in the middle of nowhere, it is the only choice. I think the lowest I have seen it is about $50 a month, but you also have to buy the equipment which runs $500-600. You might save a few bucks buying it on ebay. Typically the speed is around 400k which is fine for surfing, but if you are a heavy downloader it probably wont be a big enough pipe.
