    I just got a new laptop...it's SONY VAIO VGN-AR605E.
I cannot connect to wireless networks with this...It keeps saying wireless capbilities are turned off, even though the switch for wireless is on.
I have another laptop, which works fine...So, it's definitely not a router problem. (the new one just doesn't detect any wireless networks at all, and VISTA dignoses that the wirelss capabilites are turned off..)

I have kept repeating uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless adapter, but nothing changes. The OS is VISTA, of course.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem...?

Go into the device manager and turn it on manually.
