    :) Hi
I replaced the hard drive on my
    Sony VAIO PCG-862A (Model: PCGXG500).
    I installed Windows XP pro.
I installed LINKSYS Wireless-G Notebook Adapter.
I cannot connect to my home wireless network.
Do I need to install additional software?
Do I need SONY switcher.exe Utility Software,
SONY Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and other software?
Where do I download this software from?
Do I buy this software for my Sony VAIO laptop?
    Thank You
    Bob Whitman

I would at least install all the device drivers for the notebook (if you haven't already). The Windows XP versions of the software and utilities for your notebook can be found here. And no, you don't have to pay for them.
