Just ordered a Dell Inspiron with an Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N card. I currently don't own a router, I was wondering if anyone could recommend one? I know it shouldn't really matter in terms of compatibility, but I also have heard some horror stories. Since I have a clean slate in terms of choice I wanted to check here first - any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

Who is your ISP?
-
Time-Warner
-
Cable, then what is the downlink in Mbps?
-
Im looking aswell ISP 100mb/s
-
100Mbps must be the LAN ethernet, I'm asking about the WAN interface.
The reason I'm asking about the ISP is unless you get a huge throughput from the ISP, is not worth it to get the most sofisticated and fastest router. -
But getting a good one that can withstand constant activity is important, even if you pull a lowlu 8mbit. I know I killed our router on a 1mbit line, with constant torrent and IRC traffic. Couldn't withstand the throughput.
A good and fast one will also help if you have more than one computer connected or if you just want something reliable. -
I agree, if you have a home network a good router will do. Actually if you have money you should go for the best as the ISP are constanly raising the bar of the capacity.
