Purchase either a 5.8 Ghz or a 1.9 Ghz phone . . . 2.4 Ghz is the frequency for your wireless router . . . therefore you have interference on the phone you have if it is also 2.4 Ghz.

You might take a look at this link for the phone frequency issues @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordless_telephone

I just replaced yesterday my 2.4 Ghz phones with the 1.9 Ghz DECT phones from Panasonic . . . others are available.

THe fidderence between the 5.8 Ghz and the 1.9 Ghz DECT? The 1.9 has a longer range . . . usually over 600 feet. The 1.9 also has some added tech features. It is usually about $20 more than a 5.8 Ghz. Look at the features of both the 5.8 Ghz and the 1.9 Ghz phones . . . either should not conflict with your wireless router anymore and either should serve you well.
