My roommate keeps getting me killed while I'm playing online games because hes streaming netflix/youtube, so I'm looking for a new router.

I want to buy it from newegg.
I would like to pay less than $100 but if its more I will pay it.
I want to be able to prioritize gaming so that I never lag because my roommate is streaming video.
I would like to be able to connect my external hdd but if I can't its no biggie.
I want it to work through 2 wooden walls and effectively at least 30 ft away.

Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

You didn't mention which router you currently have.

Setup QoS to give yourself priority over his stuff.

    I have a Belkin F5D8236-4 N Wireless Router

I attached it to my computer the other day and the only qos settings were very basic and were already turned on. There was not a setting to change that would do what I need it to do.

I have read about flashing third-party firmware on routers but I've never had a need to do it before and don't really know how. Also from the little research I did do I don't think it will work with this router...this page lists my router as not being compatible with dd-wrt http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Known_incompatible_devices
