    Hi

I have a Belkin 4-PORT 54G WIRELESS ROUTER. It works fine when computer is on all day, but once I shutdown all the way, when I reboot I have to unplug the router everytime to reset it before it will connect to the Internet.

    My computer specs are:

HP Pavilion dv6700t customizable Notebook PC
Upgrade to Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
    Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0GHz)
    15.4" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
    2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 - For Core 2 Duo Processors
HP Imprint Finish (Radiance) + Microphone + Webcam
    802.11b/g WLAN

    Any help would be appreciated!!

    Deborah

How old is the router? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Belkins are not particularly reliable routers, and if it's old, I'd suggest getting a replacement. I just replaced a Belkin that was two years old and kept dropping signals all the time and went with a Netgear that hasn't given me a lick of trouble (so far, fingers-crossed :D ).

I too have a Belkin 4 port 54G wireless router, and it does act buggy sometimes. You may consider resetting the factory defaults and setting it back up from scratch, or checking to see if there is an updated firmware for it.

Take it back for a refund or an exchange, and get another brand - as you know, my personal favorite is Netgear; others'll probably prefer Linksys - either one is better than Belkin.
