Is the router new? I highly suggest you read the pieces of paper that come with it. The Quick Start Guide or whatever they call it should very quickly get you ready to rock.

You don't "install" the router onto any PC. The router just provides internet access to each computer that connects to it, whether wired or wireless.

you connect it to the computer that has the internet right now ( most likley your PC ) then the router will send out the signal

I think that router comes with an "installation" CD.. it's just a wizard to configure network/router settings though.

yes.... that is what you need. BUT..... not for $30CDN!!!! Don't future shop anything unless you absolutely positively have to, especially for generic jelly bean tech stuff like that. If you are in mtl, drop me a note at [email protected], I have a brand new one that I can sell to you for less than $10CDN.

10/100 ethernet is old tech. The chips are dime a dozen. The guys who make them in taiwan are just 'tin and solder' guys. Go ahead and shop there if you want, but I would never buy old tech stuff like that at future shop or pay retail. You are just buying the fancy store front and the fancy box.
