Hello, I am upgrading from Extreme service (15dwn and 1 up) to Warp which is 50dwn and 3 up and wondering if my old WRT300N is up to the task...or if an upgrade may be the way to go. The Nitro service mentioned on their website which is 100 dwn and 5 up... states If a router is used in the home it will need 100 Mbps sustained throughput, if a wireless router is used it must also be a wireless “N” standard router, in order to effectively support this service. I am hoping that at only 50/3 I should be ok....any input would be greatly appreciated...cheers!

It should be able to do the job for now provided that your wireless cards are 802.11n (preferably 300mbps) capable.
If you have WRT300N v3 you may have some problems- in my opinion it doesn't have enough RAM to handle a lot of simultaneous connections with such speeds.
Older versions based on Broadcom hardware have twice the RAM of v3.

If you decide to upgrade once more it's gonna have to be replaced though. WRT300N has only 100mbps Ethernet so it would have to run at max load every time you would start downloading. Chances are it wouldn't be too stable doing that.

Anyway- in theory WRT300N should work fine- test it and see what happens.
