    i just purchased a hp dv 1000 with intel pro 2200 wireless and blutooth. i currently have to desktop pc's hooked up yo a dlink di-604 wired 4 port router. my question is, do they make some type of adapter i can plug into one of the router ports to work with my notebooks wireless card or will i have to get a wireless router to use with the notebook but can also be used to plug in the wired desktop pc's. any help would be appreciated. pajer

    An Access Point (AP) is the "base station" device that you can hook into your router to add wireless capability. The bad news though is that they cost roughly the same as a wireless router. Most people choose to just buy a new router to have it all in one device, though you can buy the separate device if you want to save your current router for some reason.
