Has anyone heard of RR's recent speen increase from 3 mbps to 5mbps. That totally changes broadband internet, i believe, and is making me want Roadrunner's service. Any rr customers noticing the change. BTW, roadrunner says that they are now offering their internet at 29.95. Is this price with a contract, or cheaper bandwidth perhaps?

Huh, I keep reading about speed increases but it's pretty fast at home for me so I haven't bothered checking. In Cincinnati I think they just have one plan for residential though.

Here in Houston, I use Earthlink but it's through the same folks that offer RR. It's faster than work for me. Last time I checked, I was getting close to 3mbps using different speed checking sites. RR is regularly airing ads in Houston about speed increases and such, so I just pretty much ignore them. As long as it's as fast as it's been, I'm happy.

I use comcast which allows you to double your bandwidth for an extra 10.00 a month so with all my roommates and myself we now split
6mbps d/l and 768kbps u/l this is a pretty constant and fast connection most of the time.
