Hello - My Win10 Dell Precision 7740 is newly experiencing DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN errors, which I see using Google Chrome or testing with MS Explorter. The computer is connected only by Ethernet LAN to a Cisco switchbox and then to a R8000 router and cable modem. The same behavior exists if connected only by WAN. A Win7 laptop connected by LAN doesn't seem to have the issue, and I have music and TV LAN an WAN devices that are also working.

Several web pages refreshes might make the connection.
Or CMD > ipconfig flushdns will work my only momentarily and must be continually repeasted.
Also tried ipconfig / release and /renew
    Tried chrome://net-internals/#dns

The trouble might have started with a router reboot? I had removed and replaced a linus-based music server appliance around that time? Its telltale that the problem exists with both LAN and WAN on this computer only?

Thanks for input! Attached is ipconfig /all

    - Ralph

    It says...
    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
Change that to 1.1.1.1 or 4.1.1.1 or whatever other real DNS server is out there.
The chances of your router being a true DNS server = 0

This is probably your problem if you're using the router as your DNS. Chances are the W7 is using 8.8.8.8/4.2.2.2 or something different that you forgot you changed it to. The router is probably configured to just use your ISP DNS and there lies the problem. Login to your router and change it to 8.8.8.8 or change on your PC to see if things start working. In the past I've had issues with ISP DNS being poisoned to certain domains and just bypass them all together now with Pihole configured for different DNS providers.
