    Reformatted, can't get wireless reinstalled, can't find driver

    Hi I have a Dell Latitude D500 with all original software. I downloaded all XP patches, got everything installed including Intel Pro/100 VE Network Connection Adapter. I had wireless working beofre, it's onboard I believe but I cannot not find it. Under other devices it has Network Controller ? but will not find a driver. Help!!!!

    lsg - This is one of those classic cases where you need to get internet access from another computer. Go to support.dell.com and put in the Service Tag of your system. Then drill down in Software and Downloads until you find the wireless driver, download that driver onto say a thumb drive, then install that driver on your D500. Or, if your ethernet port works, run Windows Update from an ethernet connection and install the driver that way. Good luck...

    Thanks for the advice, I'd already done that on the laptop in question, I have an ethernet connection. I finally looked at the card itself, the driver just wouldn't load. I'm quite certain that either through the laptop being dropped or spilled on the card is beat. So I bought a card yesterday and all is well in his universe. Thanks!!!!
