After several years of use, my Belkin 54g router seems about ready to kick the bucket as disconnects during high traffic moments requiring restarts have become more frequent.

What's a good a router for under $35? So far, I've often seen these listed on sale:

    Buffalo WHR-G300N 802.11n - $35
    Belkin F5D8233-4 802.11n - $30

Could anyone recommend one over another (or something not listed here)?

are you running the original power supply? Does the external power supply feel hot (as compared to merely warm)?

Some people have stabilized their routers/switches by throwing out the original power supply and getting on that is rated to deliver a higher amperage. I've personally done this with three Linksys wireless routers.

If you try this, make sure that the new power supply is the same voltage and pin out configuration and is able to deliver at least 2 amps of power.
