Does anyone have any suggestion/solution on how to receive/send fax without using a telephone land line, i.e. via the Internet or cell phone? Is there any free service out there?

there are free services to send faxes (fax zero, for example), but I don't know any that all you to receive.

When you do receive a fax through a service like efax, it is received as an email attachment

faxaway.com, I pay U$10- a year for a dedicated number. I send and receive faxes via email. I *think* it's 500 pages (combination of tx/rx) free a year but have never gotten close to that.

The service can take text and mixed document emails for transmit or I can scan images at my PC and email them for fax transmission. Incoming faxes are emailed to me as either JPG images or Group III fax images.
