The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Random connection timeouts on this site?

    Hi all, as the title suggests just this site I find when I'm reading a thread and go back the site timeouts. Does anyone else have this or know how to fix it?

    Try using a different UI option (style). I use vBulletin 4 and haven't had issues. Prior to that I used the Default style and would occasionally have memory leaks when I left the site open for several hours. You can select the style from the bottom left of any page.
