    My current settings

Cable modem -> Wired router DHCP on-> wireless router DHCP off
All on the same subnet apart from the Cable modem which is in a different subnet 192.168.100.1 and my routers all have IP have 192.168.1.x

Both router is connected to several PCs. I checked the help guide in the router and it says you need to turn RIP on if you got multiple router on the network.

I tried reading up RIP/RIP2 but just have no clue what it is for. I read the wiki guide and it just doesnt make sense with all the jargon they use.

Can anyone either explain it in simple terms to me or just tell me if I should turn it on / off.

Nothing I can do, it's the ISP cable modem. Although I got the root password but I'm unable to change any settings.
