    The R8000 finally has new FW. Primarily it fixes issues with extenders but also gives Dynamic QoS. I do know with the QoS that it no longer limits the USB drive to the WAN's pipe speed but download from the USB drive is limited to the upload speed to the same drive, in my case 20 MBs.

    Just a heads up, with this new firmware. It seems quite a few random issues are popping up. It seems the cures are simple enough.

    1.) do a hard reset and then manually reconfigure the device to your settings.
    2.) The genie software can be a bit buggy so if you can just use the routers browser pages.
