I keep seeing cafe's and stores that offer free WIFI. I am looking into purchasing a laptop that I could use to surf the internet at such establishments. The only laptops that seem to come with built in WIFI are apple's. I am not thrilled about getting an apple laptop because A. They are expensive, and B. They would not be compatible with lot of Windows games I want to play. On my home PC I have a Bluetooth dongle that connects via usb so that I can connect my cell phone to my PC. Is there something similar to this for WIFI that could attach to a laptop, or is there something or some brand in particular I should be looking for? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :decision:

No way apple just has Wireless internet cards built in. For instance Dell and HP have wireless cards available and built in. And for dell, its mainly the Intel 2200 Card and the 2950 Card.

Pretty much any laptop out there has a WiFi option.

Yea, almost every laptop that has been made in the past year has wifi. If not, you can just buy an external card for $60 or less (depends on rebates/sales)

PCMCIA WiFi cards are like $30... But, yes, any laptop right now is going to have built-in WiFi. Except ultra budget models.
