    Hi,

My new laptop (Samsung Q310) has and 802.11n card built in to the system, and I would like to get a "N" router to take advantage of the increased speeds, however, my girlfriends laptop and Nintendo Wii only have support for the "G" protocol, and I think my PSP is "B".

So could I buy a router and have it broadcast all 3 protocols at once (or even just "G" & "N" would be fine as I hardly use the PSP online)?

    Thanks for any help?

    Regards

    Stewart

I do not own a wireless N router, but from what I've read and understand you can set it up in "Mixed mode" and it would be compatible w/ all devices. But I don't think you will be achieving "N" speeds on your laptop; I believe you'll revert to G speeds; which is 54Mbit/s.

Makaveli72 is correct but if you were to get a simultaneous dual band wireless N router such as the Linksys WRT610N then you can get full speed from all signal spectrums. They're pricey but worth it, imo.

I should have said earlier, I need a router with a modem built in, so the one you have recommended is no use to me!

    Thanks anyway!
