    Hi I was just about to buy a miniPCI card Wireless b/g for my compaq presario 2100, I just want to know is there a chance that it won't work? The one I am currently looking at is a, Broadcom 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Notebook Card.

    Most of these card are made to meet most computers interfaces and the wireless standards, try it, if it works, good for you , if not, return it, welcome to America.

    If you've already verified that your laptop requires a miniPCI card (not a miniPCIe card), and it has a spot for a card (already came with wireless built-in), then any miniPCI wifi card will work.
