Comcast internet was off the air for a 50 mile or more radius. Now, Comcast has fixed the problem. Now though, where we had no problem with internet connections we have trouble our home wireless network. I reset motorola surf modem and the Linksys wireless router. Problem is that my laptop has internet access but my wife's laptop doesn't. She keeps getting the error message server not found. Then after about an hour of fighting the laptop connects. Well, this is off and on, but have no clue what to do.
    Any ideas?

I'm going to assume that you have rebooted the computer for the purpose of renewing the IP, flushing the DNS cache, and renewing the DNS server address and gateway. Are you able to connect and retrieve a DHCP IP address ok? And have you verified the assigned IP addresses including gateway and DNS server? Also, some wireless cards come with a link status monitor that shows the amount of signal and noise, it's worth checking out.
