    Hello All,

I have identified a pattern of surge of lagging while browsing on the internet. Everything else is fine and fast, such as downloading and gaming. The surge of lag is only experienced when browsing the internet using any web browsers -- firefox, IE, and Chrome.

My friends and I both tested out the connection using two different laptop and found that web browsing only lags when connected on my wifi and lan network. Such lag was not experienced in public places offering free wifi.

The lagg would be random and sometimes severe, follow by a short brief of normal operation, then it would lapse back to the lag. This cycle just keeps on repeating on all laptops connected to my home network, whether connected via wifi or lan.

I contacted TWC and they rebuilt by modem and said that they changed the thread count from 8 on my machine to the default 16. I think it improved the situation, but did not really eliminate the problem as I'm still experiencing the problem, but a little less frequently and the lagg is a little bit shorter.

I'm hoping the good people on this forum would be able to give me some advices and suggestions on what I should do that may be able to solve this problem. I'm running on a MSI GS70 Stealth with Killer network 1202 wireless and 2100 lan. I just upgraded the router from TWC, and now it is the Arris DG1670A. However, prior to the upgrade I was running on an Arris DG860 and was experiencing the exact same problem.

Any help, suggestions, advices, and comment are much welcomed and greatly appreciated it. Thank you all very much for your help and time!
