Alright, as of now i am wirelessly connected to a router in another room of my home. I have been getting terrible terrible performance in games and am having lag spikes like crazy. My computer is used to using wireless that when i connect the lan cable to the computer port, it still says network cable unplugged. So basically how how do i get my computer to switch between my lan cable and internal network card? Also why am i getting lagspikes on my wireless connection when my internet surfing is great. I tested my internet speed on one of those test sites and i got 185kb/s. Someone reply soon please. Thank you

Try to temporary disable your notebook's wifi. Just right click on the looks like the modem icon, and choose Disable. That should work.

In the Dell quickset menu you can have the wireless on and the internal nic off. Both are off by default. If you changed wireless to be on, then the internal NIC can still be off. :)

    Check the quickset.
