Hi all! I had a little problem this morning trying to get our Cisco VPN client to work on a new HP 8460p laptop with an integral AT&T WWAN card loaded with Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. With the HP Connection Manager 4 the AT&T connection was great, but as soon as I signed into the VPN then the connectivity died.

I found a solution using Google that might come in handy here someday.

    1) Open up Device Manager, drill down to the modem section and find the HSPA Modem
    2) Right click on it and hit "Properties" then go to the "Advanced" tab.
    3) In the "Extra initialization commands" box, enter (EXACTLY) the following: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","isp.cingular"
    4) Click "OK" and close out device manager.
    5) Create a new dial-up connection:

Leave the username and password blank.
For the phone number, use: *99***1#
Set it up to use the HSPA Modem for connection.
Name it whatever you want and save it.

On this connection I'm getting over 200kbps throughput, and it works great with the Cisco VPN client.
