    hi, i have a 6.5 mb connection but i only get sppeds of like 200-400, i have used mnay differnet bacnwidth testes and they cum out even worse.

    Do u thinkit could be my router,also if it is getting really hot would that slow it down.

    i am also using a free ethernet cable, not sur eif this would make a differnece

    What router are you using? And who is your ISP? Chances are your ISP sucks and provides you with a 'up to' 6Mbps connection shared with god knows how many other people in your area.
