My internet keeps crashing whenever i download several things at once...keep having to unplug my wirelesss router then plug it back in again...well annoying! Is this a problem with my modem, wireless router or internet service provider?

I'd probably put the blame on the router, I've seen some router's not be able to handle when too many connections are opened.
I still use an old Linksys WRT54G with modded firmware. You can get the WRT54GL which will take modded firmware.

Whats the difference between the 2 and how much does it cost? Does it make a big difference if its a 54MBs and a 108MBs router?

The Linksys v1-4 all had linux firmware. Version 5+ do not, and also has less ram (1/2). The Linksys WRT54GL is the same as the older models. Where the WRT54G is actually a new router that Sysco pushed through with out change it to a new part no. They were relying on Linksys reputation to sell these and thy got caught very soon after it was released. They them brought the original WRT54G router back using a new PN WRT54GL. So when most person rage about the Linksys reputation they are actually refering to the GL verison. Most all users upgrade the GL firmware to dd-wrt or openwrt adds a lot more bells and whisels.

GL hands down. Has twice the ram as the L model and runs on linux firmware.

is the Linksys WRT54GL better than the linksys WRT54GS version aswell? The GS version is cheaper.

GL is hands down the best. The GS has limited ram just like the G version. In order to have any boost in speed that the GS offers require the matching card from linksys to work.
