When I'm anywhere outside of my home network and I try to open the connect menu to choose where to connect, it can take 10-15 minutes to open and then it will take another 5 minutes just to connect. I don't know if anyone knows anything that I can do about it but any help is appreciated. I have the dv9500t if that makes a difference.

    can you please answer:
what kind of wireless card do you have? and where do you exactly connect wireless beside your home? "coffee shop, library or a friend.. "
Does this happens in any other wireless network or a particular one?
What kind of antivirus do you have on your notebook?
Do you eventually get connected with good speed and never get disconected after that?
do you have to move to get connected? or do you stay in the same spot?

Your signal could be to weak or you are getting interference from a phone or something.
