    Hello,

I made a compromise on the laptop I purchased like many here and chose a fujitsu e4010 (see configuration below).

I have installed all the updates and patches available at fujitsu but I am still having problems connecting to many access points, even when they are unsecured. This includes my house wifi until I updated the bios on my router. I am still unable to connect at work with either XP or the Intel proset controlling the connection though dozens of other laptops, all of them either toshiba or dell are able to connect just fine.

    -1.6M
    -60gb drive
    -512mb ram
    -sxga+ lcd
    -dvd/cd-rw
    -802.11b
    -updated OS to XPsp2

Is this an issue with my wifi card? do I need to upgrade the card? anyone have ideas for me to try?

    Thanks for any help provided!

    David

You might try removing Intel's software that sits on top of XP. It could be causing the problems.
