    Hello!

I have a problem with Netgear WGR614 router and HP xv6000 with internal Broadcom Wireless card. Here's the issue:

I can find the network and everything works fine for a while, maybe 10-20 minutes. Then it says the network has been disconnected and it really has been disconnected cause Internet stops working.

Then when I try to reconnect to the network it just keeps on saying

"Windows is trying to connect to the network"

    and

    "Waiting for the network"

and that green bar keeps on spinning and eventually fails.

The weird thing now is that after I do this the network works again (and Internet) for maybe 10 minutes even though Windows says it's disconnected and after that it fails again.

Are there any known issues between Broadcom adapters and Netgear routers or has anyone experienced anything similar?

The firmware in the router and the drivers for the network card are up to date, even uninstalled and reinstalled.

Would appreciate any help I could get.

    thanks in advance

Is your configuration using WEP or WPK? Try disabling the encryption first-and then try again to see if you can maintain the signal. Otherwise, consider to not use the WZC and use the BroadCom utility (if any).
