I have two PCs and two laptops which are wirelessly networked. I am using a BT 1250 router. All the PCs are running Windows XP. The original network has been working for 3 years with 2 PCs and the laptops have been added later with no problems (at least not after initial installation head-scratching).

Until recently, one of the PCs was connected to a printer and the other PC and one of the laptops were able to access this printer via the wireless network. I had not tried to set up the second laptop to do this. I decided to make a wireless printer connection and bought a Belkin Wireless G All-in-one Print Server. After some teething problems (mainly due to operator incompetence), the 2 PCs and one of the laptops can access the printer wirelessly. The printer is in one room and is connected to the Print Server via a USB cable. The PCs are in different rooms and the laptops are obviously mobile!

I am unable, however, to get the second laptop to 'see' the printer. I have tried doing this using the Belkin software, and also using the 'Add Printer' which worked with the others, to no avail. The laptop can drive the printer when I connect them directly via a USB cable so the driver software is ok.

I have phoned Belkin and was told that they would call me back but.... I don't know whether the problem lies with the Print Server, the Router, or the laptop itself - it is a Dell Latitude system.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I can see my wireless print server under windows zero config just like any other network..

make sure that the IP of the laptop is not set to something outside of the range of the print server ie. 192.168.1x & 192.168.2.x , they should both have the same first three digits to be able to connect.

I remember having a really tough time with mine when i first set it up....

good luck, they can be a real pain
