    Hello all,

If anyone has a suggestion that could help it would be most appreciated.

I have had a Toshiba R200 for about two months and had no problems connecting wirelessly to public networks up until a month ago. Now the laptop can detect the networks and they have signal strength but it is unable to connect me via the wireless card. Could this have been caused by installing other unrelated software? (Demos, etc)

I am absolutely stumped about what to do about this! I hope not to have to do a full reinstall but if need be I will.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can solve my problem. D

Are you using the Intel software to manage connections? If so, I'd consider removing that and using the XP zero config utility.

Hi Brian, thanks so much for the advice - I'll read up on what you have suggested and try it out. The laptop has loads of different utlities on it for tinkering with connectivity, including Atheros and Toshibas own stuff.

    Thanks again! D
