    Hello all,

I got myself Intel N-6300 and discovered that I have only 2 antennas, instead of the 3 possible. So I'm thinking to get an extra antenna.

My laptop model is: ASUS N73SV and I attach a photo of the wi-fi socket.

What I would like to find is an antenna that will fit in the socket, without me having to open the LCD and completely disassembling my laptop.

on e-Bay I found these 3 models, which vary in price, but look the same to me:

2X Laptop WIFI Wireless Mini PCI PCI-E Internal Antenna | eBay
Laptop Enthernet WIFI Card Mini PCI-E Internal Antenna | eBay
NOTEBOOK Wi-Fi WIRELESS Mini PCI PCI-e INTERNAL ANTENNA | eBay

    My questions are:

    1. Do you think it will fit in the socket? they look long.
    2. Do you know of a smaller antenna?
    3. If no, which one of the three should I choose?

    Thanks a lot!

Honestly, if you want to wire a third antenna, you should pass it behind the screen. There is a reason they are wired behind the screen instead of inside the bottom of the chassis.

I don't know which antenna you should choose, but you should wire it behind the screen or simply forget it if you ask me. The 6300 is quite capable of running on 2 wires anyways, the reception will still be very good and unless you have a 450mbps capable router you won't see much benefits to the third antenna.

I read that the 3rd one gives a good range-boost and in any case, they're SO cheap, so it can't harm..
